loss isn’t easy. Anyone who has ever tried to lose five pounds
let alone fifty knows that it’s not a pleasant experience.
Unfortunately, most of the hyped approaches to helping you lose

First, let’s talk about what’s wrong with all of the
other methods. I’ve tried all of them. Everything from the
grapefruit diet to those pre-packaged meal plans promoted by formerly
overweight celebrities on television has been tried personally by
me. You’ve probably tried a few of them yourself with disappointing
results or you wouldn’t be reading this article.
Most of them just don’t work because they aren’t based
on reality. Have you ever tried eating just one of those little
meals? And did you know you’re supposed to supply the extra
fruit and vegetables? Only celebrity endorsers can really afford
to eat healthy on a plan like that. Other programs, such as the
Atkins’ diet, were never intended to be used long-term. Plus,
there are tons of pills and powders out there that don’t do
anything except empty your bank account.

I’d almost given up and resigned myself to avoiding mirrors
and clothing stores for the rest of my life when I heard a television
report on a new “superfood” that could help people lose
weight. The food was the acai berry. The berries are about the size
of grapes and grow on the Acai Palm trees found in Central and South
America. The reports about what these fruits can do are pretty amazing,
but I have to say most of the claims have been true for me. For
example, my energy and stamina increased dramatically which helped
me get off the couch and do some exercises. I slept better, felt
better, and even looked better than ever before. Plus, my digestive

time and, believe me, you can tell the difference.

After I’d been seeing results from the acai berry for a few
weeks, I saw another report on the same television show. This time
the guest was discussing the weight loss benefits of colon cleansing.
When you’re overweight, you and your colon usually have a
love hate relationship because all of those foods you love to eat
tend to eat up as a lot of waste packed in that large intestine.
